    Alternatives to midp

Was wondering if anyone would know if there are any alternatives to midp for doing java development on the nokia s60 platform.

We are building an application that is primarily targeting the s60 device specifically hte n80. The midp lcdui classes are very primitive and we would like to have a richer UI experience. Are there some java based symbian frameworks that can give richer functionality?

    Any help much appreciated.

J2ME Polish could be your solution. We were thinking about use it, but the main problem is that a very basic application has a size of almost 1Mb using that framework! If you are interested in develop your application only for N80 or other similar phones it will not be a problem for you. The problem is that most mobile phones don't support as bigger jar as 1MB.
