    SDK:S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3

The Problem: i always get the message "No SDKs were found......." when i go through the creating new project, i checked the SDK preferences and it shows that it's installed. the following is shown:

    EPOCROOT: C:\Symbian\8.1a\S60_2nd_FP3
    Build configuration: S60_2nd_FP3

    Please Help !!

    Re: No SDKs were found

Hi abo_shreek11! Welcome to Nokia Developer discussion Boards!! :)

Me too is in the learning path of Symbian. I first installed Carbide.C++ and then the SDK and was successfull in selecting the SDK.
May be you should give a try with uninstalling the SDK and reinstalling it again in the default path.

    Regards
    Gopal

    Re: No SDKs were found

Thank you "balagopalks" & "Symbian_Neil" for your reply.

I installed in the following order:
    1-carbide.c++ pro v1.1
    2-perl 5.6.1
    3-S60_2nd_FP3 (in the default path)

When i click the "rescan" button in the SDK preferences window; it finds the sdk. Is using carbide.c++ version 1.1 specifically with a higher SDK's would cause such a problem?

I have used Carbide 1.1, and it a little unstable. But I have found Carbide 1.2 very satisfactory and the product is really improving.

But all the same, I am glad that your IDE is detecting the SDK

    Good Luck and Cheers

    Hi Symbian_Neil

i installed carbide.c++ v1.2 and it works fine. I lost my full professional 1.1 version, but it's ok. Thank you too much.

    Thanks to balagopalks also.
