App Cracking problems, question to C++ application developers

This is a question to app developers whose apps have passed Symbian signed certification.
Has your SymbianSigned application been cracked? Is the Symbian security system reliable?

Re: App Cracking problems, question to C++ application developers

basically if you are using any capability that requires symbian signing, then if they crack it, they would need to sign it again (which they can not do), thus they could only distribute it unsigned.

Then again, if you have manufacturer capabilities in your exe's, then getting developer certificates is pretty hard, and nearly nobody could use teh cracked version.

However if you use only capabilities for self-signed application, signing don't give any protection really, since they could use self-signing when re-packing.
