    Re: Request for Nokia experts! 415, unsupported media type

    Hi , i have the same problem , i trying all expressions bunt i have response 480 Not Available

    my capabiltes is:
    Code:
    _LIT8(KCapabilities,
    "<SIP_CLIENT ALLOW_STARTING=\"YES\">\
    <SIP_HEADERS>\
    <ACCEPT_CONTACT value=\"*;+media=audio\"/> OR\
    <ACCEPT_CONTACT value=\"*;audio\"/>\
    <ACCEPT value=\"application/sdp\"/>\
    </SIP_HEADERS>\
    <SDP_LINES>\
    <LINE name=\"m\" value=\"application 0 TCP TopexPhone\"/>\
    </SDP_LINES>\
    </SIP_CLIENT>");
    and an INVITE mesage:
    Code:
    INVITE sip:339@192.168.244.167 SIP/2.0
    Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.144.162:5060;branch=z9hG4bK3tst0q9lpphc7ocodklur8e
    From: 349 <sip:349@192.168.244.167>;tag=n34d0qf9alhc7eqedklj

    a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
    a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
    a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
    if my INVITE mesage have "Accept-Contact" header i recieve 480 , without this header it works fine , but only with this medeia line "m=application 0 TCP TopexPhone" , if i change media type (application) or protocol (TCP) i get 488, note that i change in paket header and in my Capabilites.

    hazmat can tell us or share you code with this problem?

    what value can have "Accept-Contact" header , or is there any API ?

    thanks!

    Re: Request for Nokia experts! 415, unsupported media type

    Hi. I hope there is someone in this thread alive. I'm writing my own SIP based application and as all of you who done it before, facing Client Resolver hell. I tried all possible XML configuration and i found that no matter what i do, if i put proper invite method scheme, incoming invite always routed to some other "mysterious ROM application". The only possibility to route invite with "content-type=application/sdp" to my application is to set non-standard m-line!? But i want to be able to get all incoming invites and not just with custom media description. I don't even sure this "mysterious ROM application" is really running, I just enable SIP profile to be able to register to my SIP server from my app and thats all(maybe this makes it to start running). But I always get "100 Trying" if i send "Invite" method, so i think somebody must send it and this probably "mysterious ROM application". From the Client Resolver logic PDF i understand that if there is multiple much, the route goes to "mysterious ROM application" because it's has higher priority. The questions are: Is there any way to set higher resolver priority to my application? Can i somehow disable the "mysterious ROM application" at all?

    Thanks in advance.

    P.S. As i understand there is a different behavior from phone to phone. I'm work on N96.

    Re: Request for Nokia experts! 415, unsupported media type

    Our "mysterious ROM application" is "multimediasharing" and it's resolverplugin can be found there:

    http://developer.symbian.org/xref/os...ipcrplugin.cpp

    I have exactly same problem than you. If you look capabilities of that application, you see that, it "catch" every INVITEs where Content-Type is application/sdp.

    Ps. I'm use 5800 XpressMusic

    Dear Hazmat,

    Having gone through the whole discussion we have realized that our problems have been the same as yours with Client Resolver Plugin. We have tried all the solutions that you have tried but we are still not able to resolve them on our side. Having added ACCEPT-CONTACT Header with base and non-base values (with + sign for non-base values) our application on mobile still responds with 480 for incoming INVITE Request meanwhile the same code runs perfectly fine on Emulators.

    Can you please guide us on this as to where we might be going wrong?

    Here are the samples of code that we are using:

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    Client Resoler Plugin >> Capabilities XML
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    _LIT8( KCapabilities,
    "<SIP_CLIENT ALLOW_STARTING=\"YES\">\
    <SIP_HEADERS>\
    <ACCEPT_CONTACT value=\"*;audio\"/>\
    <ACCEPT value=\"application/sdp\"/>\
    <ACCEPT value=\"SIPEx/InstantMessage\"/>\
    </SIP_HEADERS>\
    <SDP_LINES>\
    <LINE name=\"m\" value=\"audio 10100 RTP/AVP 0\">\
    </LINE>\
    </SDP_LINES>\
    </SIP_CLIENT>");

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    In SIP Message ACCEPT-CONTACT Header Creation we have this:
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    RPointerArray<CSIPHeaderBase>* headerList = new(ELeave)RPointerArray<CSIPHeaderBase>;
    CSIPExtensionHeader* accCtHd = CSIPExtensionHeader::NewLC(_L8("accept-contact"), _L8("*;audio") );
