Cellphones could warn of imminent lightning strike

    Hi
Cellphones could warn of imminent lightning strike
Nokia have a patent out on this already!.

Nokia (US patent application 2007/0085525). Software will then interpret them, work out the distance to the lightning

    Wow
    Can lightning really strike twice!

Or you can just count the seconds after seeing the lightening and hearing it and divide by 5 (for Miles) or 3 (for kilometers) to see how far away it is.

Note when in an open field and it is down to a km you probably don't have time to run for cover.

PS cows are much more susceptible to electromagnetic forces and often die just from being in the proximity of a lightening strike without ever being hit.
