    MS visual studio .net 2005 is not Supported for Symbian Till now. Try using VS 2003 or Carbide.C++

    Re: carbide.vs 2.0.1 installation problem

    Dear All member of Nokia Forum,

    I'm trying to develop an application based on S60 1st Edition SDK 1.2 using carbide vs 2.0.2 & VS.Net 2003 as the IDE, but why if i try to debug or run it the error always show up even I try the example of Helloworld Application :

    Command Lines

    Creating temporary file "c:\Symbian\6.1\Series60\Epoc32Ex\helloworld\Deb_S60_12_WINS\BAT000002.bat" with contents
    [
    @echo off
    RCMake.exe "C:\Symbian\6.1\Series60\Epoc32Ex\helloworld\HelloWorld.vcproj" S60_12 WINS UDEB
    if errorlevel 1 goto VCReportError
    goto VCEnd
    :VCReportError
    echo Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Pre-Build Event..."
    exit 1
    :VCEnd
    ]
    Creating command line "c:\Symbian\6.1\Series60\Epoc32Ex\helloworld\Deb_S60_12_WINS\BAT000002.bat"

    Output Window

    Performing Pre-Build Event...
    * Current build configuration: WINS UDEB
    Compiling resources...

    ERROR: RCMake failed: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Pre-Build Event..."

    every I try to debug or run it, there always a message dialog appears "These project configuration are out of date _ Helloworld Deb_S60_12_WINS win32, would you like to build them yes/no ?" - Is it Normal ?

    I've already tried to reinstall the SDK, deliminating the space or else, then find the solution in the forum internet but this error still not resolve yet. is there anybody have a solution for me ? thanks in advance for everything.

    Note I am install the component on this following order :

    1. VS.NET 2003
    2. J2SDK 1_4_2-windows-i586 - Installer.exe
    3. ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-MSWin32-x86.msi
    4. s60 1st C++ SDK v1.2
    5. carbide VS 2.0.2

    Best Regard,

    Saleem

    Re: carbide.vs 2.0.1 installation problem

    I also found this problem many times

    Code:
    every I try to debug or run it, there always a message dialog appears "These project configuration are out of date _ Helloworld Deb_S60_12_WINS win32, would you like to build them yes/no ?" - Is it Normal ?
    But i think it is problem of system date. change system date, you may solve that error

    Re: carbide.vs 2.0.1 installation problem

    If you have edited a file, the project becomes "out of date" meaning the exe is older than some of the modied files and hence should be compiled. So if you have edited any file and then start debug without building, this is exactly what should happen so that you do not debug the old, unmodified exe.
