    DRM for bluetooth transfer

    Hi all,
I want to transfer a file using bluetooth and make it not forwardable to the other phone. I tried using NMIT 4.1 and got a *.dm file using forward lock method, but when i transferred the *.dm file to my Nokia phone (6680 and N90), it said that the format is unknown..

Is there any way to solve this?
    please help

    thanks in advance.

Nokia sets appear to restrict transfer of forward lock .dm files through gprs only. Actually the OMA standard does not say so. I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional. However sony ericsson phones do allow transfer of .dm from PC thru' data cable.

    Hi Sudhakar,

Are you sure Bluetooth is not supported for Forward lock? In the URL you gave, Bluetooth is mentioned in the 'Delivery Methods' for 3rd Edition OMA DRM 1.0.

Have I got this right? If so, how can a .sis file be Forward Locked for Bluetooth distribution?

    Regards
    Paul

I've tried transferring *.dm files via bluetooth to Sony Ericsson phones, and there was no problem at all. The forward lock method worked well; we cant send it via sms, bluetooth, mail, etc. I think SE phones recognize *dm files and directly apply the security.

Is there really no way to apply this to Nokia phones?

    Hi Paul,

thru bluetooth we can transfer only dcf files not forward locked files. If u try to open transferrd dcf file it wil ask for rights and rights can be pushed thu WAP Push.
