Installing to the secure element (already unlocked)

    All,

I have the 6131NFC with the unlocked secure element after running the unlock midlet provided by nokia. I am now trying to install the applet provided in the InternalSecureCardExample package with the SDK.

I have the appl.cap file which I have converted into a series of APDUs with the Sun Java Card Developer's Kit, however I am now unsure how to transfer this into the phone. I have seen notes to add "powerup;" to the start of the APDU file and run this through apdutool (provided with java card dev. kit) however I can't see how to interface this with the phone.

I have tried passing the APDUs straight to the phone after placing it on the card reader, however this does not produce 0x90 0x00 - I presume because I am talking to the internal MiFare card and the powerup; command when interpreted by apdutool tells the secure element to recieve a new applet?

Any assistance / advise would be gratefully recieved.

    Cheers,
    -Jeff

Re: Installing to the secure element (already unlocked)

OK, one of my colleagues has a programmed called J-Load by G&D which is designed to load onto javacards, after much playing and attempting to authenticate I came to the conclusion that the software is too old to support GlobalPlatform Specification 2.1.1.

I then found the globalplatform sourceforge project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/globalplatform/) and OpenPlatformManager however again this seems too old to support spec 2.1.1.

Finally I found the gpshell CLI tool, which DOES support spec 2.1.1 Within the readme I found the note (which I have subsequently found in the Nokia SDK userguide) about not failing authentication 10 times or the card will be locked.

Does anyone know if my attempts to authenticate using the old spec will count towards my 10 attempts (in which case I'm locked out). Also, does anyone know if there is a specific APDU response for locked out?

Edit: I've just unlocked the second of our NFC phones and passed it the following command:
    "open_sc -security 3 -scp 2 -keyver 42 -mac_key 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F -enc_key 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F -kek_key 404142434445464748494A4B4C4D4E4F"
Unlike the 1st phone (which returns 0x69 0x82), this new phone returns "000063428007F6A801092A0200016C7FFC113FB9F5BE8F01A36D5B999000" before gpshell segfaults.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Many thanks,

    -Jeff
