Rounding of mediatime in different devices

    Hi ,
Currently im working on a karaoke application.
when the song reaches (for example : 05:21.3 ) this time, it highlights the appropriate word. The application runs well in N70 and 6230i.
But it doesn't highlight the words correctly on 6600 and sonyericsson K700i .

The reason was, when i get the mediatime (player.getMediatime()) all the phones returns different values. All the devices rounds the mediatime to different values. So when i convert the mediatime to mm:ss.ms format ....

one phone gives the value 05:21.3
    the other one 05:21.0
    the other one 05:21.4

so the words doesn't get highlighted in the appropriate time.

can someone pls tell me how to get the same mediatime value in all the devices.
    Thank you in advance !

For starters, don't try to map your text events to media time with equals. Instead of "myTimeStamp == mediaTime" use "myTimeStamp <= mediaTime".

Reducing the polling interval of the media time increases accuracy but increases the overhead. You could either try to find the smallest reasonoble interval by experimenting or making it adaptive by implementing some routine to figure it out automatically in the application.
