Browsing using S40 Browser (Nokia 5300) : "Memory Full"

I was browsing using my Nokia 5300 and for a particular webpage it gave me this error "Memory Full". This only happened for the particular webpage (http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp), and it was okay for most other webpages.

I checked my phone memory and :

Phone Memory - Free Memory 4.4 MB
Memory Card - Free Memory 206 MB

    Any ideas ?

    Hello,

it's possible that page has something so big that it doesn't fit to the memory. Sometimes it's also useful to reboot the device to remove all "unused" stuff from memory.

    hi tum
    - which memory is the limiting issue here ? Phone memory ? Is there a way to increase the phone memory, or to allocate memory from the memory card ?
    - when you mentioned 'reboot' did you mean doing a 'soft reset' ?
    thanks.

    Hello,

I do not know the memory allocation on the device, but it's usefull to put stuff to memory card and leave free space to the device memory. Because device should also be faster if there are more free memory.

If you want to be sure that everything on the device is cleared, you can even remove the battery. It's not so hard work to do, I myself do it sometimes.

What limits the size of pages device can render isn't a storage drive i.e. phone memory or memory card. It's the operating memory phone has, also known as RAM

he meant doing something in order to restart the device. i.e. turn it off and then on

    Hello!

I do not say more about is it wise to keep free space on the device memory, I my self like to keep free space on the mobile device and also PC hard drive very is operating system installed.

You can do soft reset, which mean that shutdown the device. The total reset is done when battery is remowed.
