    SDK for Widgets

When will be available a SDK to create Nokia Widgets? Now there is not any phone supporting FP2, no?

    Re: SDK for Widgets

There are no phones available, or even announced, based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 (if that's what you refer to, when you say "supporting FP2").

Also, there's no S60 3rd Ed. FP2 SDK available yet, either.

Yes, but there is J2ME SDK for FP2 (at least a beta version), so I think that it should be released some devices very soon.

I have posted it in other section because I haven't got a good answer, and I have thought that perhaps my post is more appropiate for Tools&SDKs.

    Re: SDK for Widgets

That J2ME SDK contains at least some kind of environment for widget development. There's at least one example widget and I managed to test one widget of own also. It seems thought that this version of Web Run-Time is not yet stable and might change a lot until final release.

    Re: SDK for Widgets

I have installed it and when launching I have not found any widget or the web-runtime... Where are them? What are their names?

    Re: SDK for Widgets

You have to install a widget first (e.g. the included HelloWorld widget). Have a look in the widget manual (docs/S60_3rd_Ed_ MIDP_SDK_FP2_WidgetSupport_1.1.pdf) how to install a widget.

    Re: SDK for Widgets

    HelloWorld.wgz file is under C:\S60\devices\S60_3rd_MIDP_SDK_FP2_Beta\bin\epoc32\winscw\c\Data\Others

Change the extension to ZIP and extract it to see content. If you want to test that widget, open emulator use File Browser to browse to that directory and open HelloWorld.wgz to install widget. After you have installed it the widget will be shown in Applications.
