    [N95] AppTRK causes device reboot

I haven't been able to do a single On-Device Debugging session on the N95. It either can't connect to the device, or the phone reboots when launching TRK or when the debugging starts.

I'm using this AppTRK installation file:
    C:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v1.2\plugins\com.nokia.carbide.trk.support_1.2.1.4\trk\s60\s60_3_1_app_trk_2_7.sisx

Anyone with a success story about ODD on the N95?

Re: [N95] AppTRK causes device reboot

    Hello,

The early N95 devices had an API removed that would disable the on-device debug client from working.

I did a quick search of the discussion board and did not see the post - but others have the problem (search N95, carbide, - or TRK)

Update your firmware - you can do this over USB (Learn about updating your firmware

Make sure you are using Carbide.c++ v1.2.2 (Learn about updating Carbide)

If this does not work then - please post your question on the Carbide.c++ discussion board.

    Good Luck

See the link below and make sure you have updated your firmware to at least the version mentioned -

    Thanks for the reply.
Indeed when we still had the original firmware, the AppTRK application wouldn't even start. In my signature I've included the firmware for all devices we're testing, and it's the latest version. I'll cross-post then with your permission ;)

Unhappy Re: [N95] AppTRK causes device reboot

I have the exact same problem with my N95-3.

Debugging worked fine with Carbide C++ 1.3 and AppTrk 2.8.7

Now after updating to 20.2.011 firmware, Carbide 1.3.1 and AppTrk 2.8.9, the phone reboots as soon as I try to launch a debugging session.

    Help!

I'm seeing the same problem on using Carbide C++ 1.3.1 using TRK version 2.8.9 on my n95 8GB with the latest software. Did you find any solution to the problem?

I've also tried installing TRK 2.8.9 on a n96. The progress bar gets about halfway across the screen and then I get an Unable to Install error message. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks.
