    Allowing Application Access

Is it possible to allow an application to access my files in a Nokia 6288?
I tried to set the 'Read User Data' to always allowed or Ask First Time only or Ask Every Time and it doesn't let me? Is there something i can do?

    Re: Allowing Application Access

Is your phone branded to some carrier/operator? If yes, which one?
(some operators have restircted the access to certain APIs so that unsigned and even signed MIDlets do not have access those APIs at all

For a list of operators, see here

That explains. 3 does not allow MIDlets to read/write files unless the MIDlet is signed by them. See here
