I also followed up this link: http://live.sdnhost.com/forum/thread...messageID=2001 and did what hamish had told, I downloaded PEDUMP tool and executed it across UDEB\euser.dll and i got this in the command prompt.

Does this make any sense to any one??

but still when i run my application once again, still i face the same problem.

Im using FP2 8.0 SDK Meant for CodeWarrior, The version of dbghelp.dll is 6.4.7.1 (under c:\programs\common files\symbian\tools\) to add on, im using the hooklogger which is currently found in symbian's site (the latest version i guess).

Could any one help me out as i need to clean the ALLOC errors urgently.

    Thank you for the support

Are you sure you are using the Debug build for HookLogger.

And you haven't been using any tools that strip or compact the binaries i.e. remove debugging symbols?

Re: Hooklogger Problem. Doesnt display the positions or function names

This is an old thread but I recently discovered one issue related to HookLogger that may help here.

I was tracing a leak with HookLogger and while analyzing heap details, I accidentally closed my test .exe and lost all debugging symbol information in HookLogger. It was actually the first time I saw a raw HookLogger call stack like that in real life.

My theory is that you need to have the binaries still loaded in memory in order to see the debug symbols in HookLogger call stacks. So, if you get an ALLOC panic, stop right there and go to HookLogger. Do not close the emulator. Do not acknowledge the ALLOC panic dialog so the system would continue by unloading the DLLs and your .exe.

I haven't tested this theory thoroughly but I hope it can help someone out who is not seeing debug symbols with HookLogger.
