    control volume APS 2.3

    hi

    I'm using APS 2.3 in my streaming application.

    i need to control level volume.
    the RAPSSession object has 3 methods:
    Volume()
    MaxVolume()
    SetVolume(TInt vol).

    SetVolume() isn't used in AudioProxyServer23Test example.

    at the start Volume() return the value 5.
    if I try to set volume with SetVolume(6) the value returned from Volume() is 10, and it is impossible te decrease this value.

    any one knows why? there is a method the operate on volume settings?

    thanks

    alessandro

    Re: control volume APS 2.3

    Hi Alessandro,

    I did some testing for the SetVolume(TInt aVolume) function and it seems to work fine. I used N95 (S60 3rd edition fp1) and APS 2.3. Could you specify the environment where this error has occurred?

    Here is the code:
    Code:
    iSession.SetVolume(6);
    DisplayText(_L("Volume -> "),iSession.Volume());
    As a result, Streamer application displays:

    "Volume -> 6"

    Question Re: control volume APS 2.3

    hi,

    i find the error (very strange error!!!)

    1***************************************

    if (iStatus == EReady || iStatus == EStreaming)
    {
    /*TInt vol = */iSession.SetVolume(vol);
    DisplayText(_L("SetVolume -> "), vol);
    }

    2*****************************************

    if (iStatus == EReady || iStatus == EStreaming)
    {
    TInt vol =iSession.SetVolume(vol);
    DisplayText(_L("SetVolume -> "), vol);
    }

    these previous function do the same thing, but in my application the first sets volume correctly and the second set directly to 10.

    bye

    alessandro
