    Re: Error: "Unable to install"

    try changing the provate target folder to be "280000A6" instead of "0x280000A6".

    Yucca knows that, you can bet. However he suggested trying
    Code:
    "\symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1\Epoc32\winscw\c\icf.cfg"
    -"!:\private\280000A6\icf.cfg"
    Anyway, you can try commenting lines in your .pkg to find out which file cannot be installed.

    That's basically what I should have said, with it you can identify any other problem as well...

    Hmm, "generate" and "developer certificate"... What do you exactly do?
    Note that certificates generated with
    Code:
    makekeys -cert -dname "..." test.key test.cert
    are called self-signed certificates. If you use such certificate, your UID-s (including the package ID)) should come from the unprotected range, typically from 0xE0000000-0xEFFFFFFF.

    Also search for "Unable to install" under Antony's blog: http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/view_entry.html?id=93

    I hope you may find something useful from there.

    Re: Error: "Unable to install"

    According to what you have written, the package still does not install if you trim it to the minimum:
    Code:
    #{"ICF"},(0x280000A6),1,0,0
    %{"Vendor-EN"}
    :"Vendor"
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}
    "\symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1\Epoc32\release\gcce\urel\ICF.exe"
    -"!:\sys\bin\ICF.exe", FR,RI
    In this case the signing remains the only possibility I think. Make sure that you have all used capabilities in the devcert

    You may also name the device you use.

    Re: Error: "Unable to install"

    Hi Friend,
    it's the problem related with file opening. When i call fopen("\\cfg") . it throws Error : "Unable to install".
    I commented this line . my program successfully installed.
    But problem is now , What should i use in fopen parameter.
    I called using fopen ("!:\\private\\0x02CE67A6\\cfg). it again throws the same error ..
    So please tell me in which directory i should open files(i.e. the argument in fopen function).

    I putall my cfgs in ("!:\\private\\0x02CE67A6\\) in .pkg file.

    EG.
    "\symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1\Epoc32\release\gcce\urel\wrapper.dll" -"!:\\private\\0x02CE67A6\\icf.cfg;

    Please friends, help me out of the problem.

    Re: Error: "Unable to install"

    You can:
    - read the documentation
    - check the SDK (\epoc32\data\z\private or \epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\z\private)
    - believe Yucca
    - believe me
    however all 4 choices lead to change your path. \private\ contains folder names of 8 lowercase hexadecimal digits. The 0x is not used.
