    license for carbide C++ express ed?

    I was trying out a non free edition but after it expred i uninstalled it and reinstalled it choosing "express"

    but i get this error:

    Operation failed:
    Carbide feature: Carbide_Sys_TRK
    Carbide description: System TRK Debugging

    Cannot find license file.
    The license files (or license server system network addresses) attempted are
    listed below. Use LM_LICENSE_FILE to use a different license file,
    or contact your software provider for a license file.
    System error: 2
    FLEX Feature: Carbide_Sys_TRK
    Filename: C:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v1.2\Carbide.c++ Licenses\Current_Active_License
    License path:
    C:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v1.2\Carbide.c++ Licenses\Current_Active_License

    FLEXnet Licensing error: -1, 359

    question is..what to do? I need some sort of license key for the free ed., and if so, then where???

    Does Carbide still work, even though there is the error? This is just saying you don't have a license for the on device debugging - the rest should still work and you can ignore the error?

    Hi Akorth,
    Is all you perl and Java Jre/Jdk is installed at the same directory? (Your C Drive)

    Try install everything in a single directory.

    BTW, the Carbide.C++ should automatically switch to express version when it expires. There is no need to uninstall and reinstall again.

    Hi.
    I have a question. Can I get Carbide.C++ license for free, if I have partnership with Nokia.

    best regards.

    If you have partnership, you can ask your BDM for example.

    Re: license for carbide C++ express ed?

    For sake of clairty i wanted to post i solved the problem...but it was messy and i don't know what was wrong.

    I stripped off carbide and reinstalled int again...it then gave me a compile error

    I then stripped if off along with the sdk's too and deleted the leftover directories, made a new workspace and imported the project...now it's working.

    Don't ask me why this occured...i have NO clue.
