Tool to list all DLLs loaded in memory

    Hi,

for debugging purposes I would like to have a tool which can list all DLLs loaded in the memory (incl. start address + code size) on device for S60 3.0 devices and upwards. Is this available? It would be nice if the tool could walk a dependency graph, say, you select the process (.exe), it shows on which DLLs it depends, you select a .dll, it shows again the DLLs which were loaded because this DLL was loaded (its direct dependencies).

    Rene,

Thank you for your comment. We will be introducing a dependency explorer tool in our next release of Carbide. Beta testing starts next month. Go to http://groups.google.com/group/carbidecpp-beta to join.

Re: Tool to list all DLLs loaded in memory

    Hi,

I want to list all the DLLs loaded in memory?
    How do I do this?
I would also like to know is there any API provided in symbian to get the memory map or the memory snapshot?

Can you please let me know the APIs available in symbian to list all the dlls loaded in memory at any instance of time?

    Thanks,
    -Devaraj

    Hi,

meanwhile Inmote created a commercial product for this purpose: Symbian Kernel Debug Extension. See http://www.inmote.nl/kde.php.

Re: Tool to list all DLLs loaded in memory

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. It seems KDE is a nice tool.
Actually, my query was regarding the Symbian APIs available to list the DLLs present in the memory.
I was working on an application where it is required for me to list the currently loaded DLLs in the memory.
If you can tell or point to any resources which is useful in this regard would be great.

    Thanks,
    -Devaraj
