    Questions about symbian fonts

    Hi there,

I have some questions related to symbian fonts:
    1. Are GDR fonts dot-matrix fonts?
    2. Are there any APIs in S60 for querying whether the S60 device support true type font?
    3. In J2ME side, there are three pre-defined font sizes: SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, are there any equivalence constant values in symbian C++ side?
Can you show me some example how to get the font which will support sizes in the above spec(SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE) even when the device doesn't support true type font?

    Thanks for your time!

I don't know, but you can always let the imagination rolls:

-from S60 2nd Edition FP3 (S60v2.8, Symbian OS 8.1) onwards, all phones support it..

-if you search for *.ttf files in ROM drive and there're ttf files inside fonts folder, the phone actually supports it.

    best regards

GDR fonts are bitmap fonts (not scaleable, vector fonts).
