    Autostart on external reader touch

    Hi, finally i´m able to autostart a midlet on tag touch,... but at this moment i´m not able to do the same with an external reader.

    I suppose that i need the correct "pushEntry" and "filter" for register the connection. Does someboy knows the correct content for this String?

    These are the ones i use to autostart my midlet on tag touch.

    Code:

    String pushEntry = "ndef:rtd?name="+"urn:nfc:wkt:RFID_TAG";
    String filter = "nfc:ndef;type=mf1k;uid=*";
    PushRegistry.registerConnection(pushEntry, com.nokia.nfc.sample.app.TagListenerMidlet", filter);
    I suppose that i need to implements TransactionListener in the midlet,...

    ¿something more?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Re: Autostart on external reader touch

    Hi again, it´s posible that i haven´t explained well my problem,...

    I have an external reader (in a bus for example) and i want to pay with 6131 NFC.

    These are the steps that we are thinking,...

    1.- The external reader modify the data in the Mifare 4k of 6131.

    2.- In this moment i want that start my Midlet using push registry.

    is this posible??

    Hi alex.r,

    No, you can't write a autostart app that listen to the internal MiFare tag!
    But what you can do is to extend the reader application and send an APDU to the internal secure element the SDK allows to register a MIDlet that listen to the internal secure element.

    Ok,... And it´s posible to write an autostart app that listen to any external reader?

    I suppose that for this solution it´s necessary to write an applet in the internal secure element, isn´t it?

    And really,... thanks for your answer!!

    Hi alex.r

    Yes, you can write an applet on the phone, then the external reader can communicate with the applet in your phone, then you can detect the external reader!

    Well, if is possible, i´ll avoid to write any applet.

    So,..

    it´s posible to write an autostart app that listen to any external reader? (Not listen internal mifare)

    The only way to to wirte an autostart app that listen to an external reader is detecting a transaction with the internal secure element!

    Hi joe,

    detecting a transaction with the internal secure element!
    What do you mean for transaction? Any APDU exchange (even a select APDU?)
    Thanx

    With:
    Code:
    PushRegistry.registerConnection("secure-element:?aid=FFFFFFFFFFFF", "com.yourMidlet", "*");
    Can you register to the application with the AID=FFFFFFFFFFFF!
    Then, after an external reader has finished the transaction (APDU commands) with the applet with this AID your application will be started.

    Re: Autostart on external reader touch

    Ok, so the select apdu from the reader is intended to be a transaction..and when this happens the readerDetected method of interface TransactionListener is executed.Is that right?
    It is possible to register statically the connection in the pushregistry via the jad file?
    Which is the difference?
    Thank you in advance

    The PushRegistry.registerConnection code line has a result of:

    Exception: Platform Unsupported

    Do you know something about this error?

    Re: Autostart on external reader touch

    Hi all,

    I am new to this, and I am also looking for the same resolution, of autostart a MIDlet when tapping on an external reader (MIFARE reader).

    Actually, I understand about the needs of java card applet to be triggered and MIDlet to register with and AID, in order to wake-up.

    However, I would like to verify, had anyone done this with MIFARE reader specifically? Instead of the Java Card.

    Wish someone could provides some information, or some direction of the information I can read-on.

    Thanks in advanced
    Ice
