    Issue with CTelephony::DialNewCall()

    Hi

    I am trying to call a number from my application with the below code.
    But on dialing it gives error message "Select Closed User Group" and the call gets disconnected.

    void CallPhoneNumber (TDesC& aPhoneNumber)
    {
    CTelephony::TCallParamsV1 callParams;
    callParams.iIdRestrict = CTelephony::ESendMyId;
    CTelephony::TCallParamsV1Pckg callParamPckg( callParams );
    CTelephony* iTel = CTelephony::NewL();
    CTelephony::TCallId iCallId;
    TRequestStatus aStatus;
    iTel->DialNewCall(aStatus, callParamPckg, aPhoneNumber, iCallId);

    return 0;
    }
    Can anyone help me in this regard, I mean how to set this "Closed User Group (CUG)" from the CTelephony class API.
    Or what I need to do so the call made is successful.

    Thanks in Advance
    Nand Kumar

    Hello Nand Kr,

    Dialing is asynchronous process so you need to active objects....Onece again try to execute below code.

    void CallPhoneNumber (TDesC& aPhoneNumber)
    {
    CTelephony::TCallParamsV1 callParams;
    CTelephony::TCallParamsV1Pckg callParamPckg( callParams );
    CTelephony* iTel = CTelephony::NewL();
    CTelephony::TCallId iCallId;
    TRequestStatus aStatus;
    iTel->DialNewCall(aStatus, callParamPckg, aPhoneNumber, iCallId);
    User::WaitForRequest(aStatus);
    if(aStatus ==KErrNone)
    {
    //call is dialed successfully...
    }else{
    //Error
    }
    }
    //Add NetworkSerivces capability in your mmp file
    //Hope,It'll be help you.

    If i am not wrong, You can't change CUG with CTelephony of any other Public SDK APIs..

    I am still not able to call it with the CUG enabled SIM.
    But the same code is working for the non-CUG enabled SIM.

    From my phone from the dialer screen I am able to dial the number from the CUG enabled SIM but when calling from this code it says "Select Closed User Group"

    I have tried to set CUG setting to "off" from the phone settings but still it is not working.

    Is there any solution for the call an number from CUG enabled SIM. If yes then what is the code?

    Thanks
    Nand Kumar.
