    7110 + Server simulator + ASP

Has anyone tried to access ASP files with the Toolkit 2.0/7110 & WAP Server simulators? Is it out-of-question or is it a matter of WAP Server simulator configuration?

I've done it using toolkit 1.3 and that works. Put the ASP in a directory under inetpuwwwroot of your IIS. COnfigure a bookmark in your 7110: http://localhost/anydir/MyAspTest.asp/
    And it should work.

I have used ASP with the WAP Toolkit 2.0. I did not need to use a special server, I just used my regular Web server. I tested it first on personal web server on Windows 98 and then on Windows NT Server 4.0.

All you have to do is make sure you set the content type of the Response before your document is returned to the client (simulator or Phone in this case). I insert this line of VBScript at the top of the file containing my WML file:

I found this out by reading an article about writing an ISAPI DLL to return WML to the phone, but ASP or any CGI-like technology works really well.

Hope this helps. Check out the link I sent along. It is a simple WML that displays a message using ASP.
