size of letters in a wap browser more detailled

    hi,

i need the size of every letter in a wap browser. so what i need is a list like (e.g.): 'i' has a width of 2 pixel, 'M' has a width of 6px.

i checked the WAP Service Developers Guides, but could not find it that detailled. i only found out that the font height is often 16px.

in short terms what i need it for: i have to calculate the ratio of informational and functional content of a wml-page. functional context is the text/images of links and the rest is informational. to be able to know how much area on a display is used for informational/functional content, i have to know the exact width and height of all letters.

i know that there are differences for different mobile devices, so i have to concentrate on one special or use average values...

do you know where i can find a list for at least one mobile?

    thanx and best regards, Tobias

    Hi!

I am afraid such a detailed information like this is not publicly available anywhere. But I would be interested to know why do you need to calculate the ratio. Is that just for your own information or does your browsing application use that information somehow?

    Kind regards,

it is for some statistics on wml-pages. to say how much content is information and how much is functional.

if the information i need not exists publically, it's ok. thanx anyway
