    I have standalone py60 program on my mobilephone compiled at python 1.3.22
    after I add some new feature like INBOX, my program cant run without the "scriptshell'.

    Re: problem on running my application

    Thanks for the reply.

    Nope. I don't signed my application since I start studying and testing my py.

    I successfuly created and run my stand alone program for my Nokia6600.

    Its only yesterday I encounter this problem, after adding some feature like INBOX and BASE64 and compiled as standalone.

    Please help.

    Hello ,

    You have an 2nd so you don't need to signed your application because you can do everything with it (lucky guy !)

    But what do you mean by adding features like inbox and base64 ? Are they new extension modules made by yourself ?
    Could you publish them and share with us ?

    Thanks

    Re: problem on running my application

    thanks for another reply.

    My first py was just to send message after selecting contacts. I make a standalone for this and install to my 2nd Nokia6600. It run well!

    my second activity is to UNINSTALL my application from my 2nd Nokia6600 in preparation for my next compilation. I edit my PY to add some more features like inbox reading (from python library), like "from inbox import*" and "import inbox" and "import binascii" etc.

    When I run the the code from pythonscript it has NO problem .
    so i decided to create standalone. Again, I install it to my 2nd Nokia6600, but It does not run.
    I found a solution, however, i need to install "PythonScriptShell_1_3_22_2ndEd.SIS" just to make it run.

    Is there a way to make my 2nd compilation not to include the pythonscript?

    This is strange because standlone apps (created using py2sis) shouldn't require the ScriptShell. On the other hand, the main PythonForS60 sis must be installed.

    Hello rsf

    What it the error you face when you try to run it again? Or it simply crashes?
    To run a sis package you dont need a pythonshell on the device.
    Also you said that you previously installed a SIS and then it worked fine..Did you uninstall it properly? and how?

    Re: problem on running my application - SUCCESS!!!

    Finally !!!

    After 2 days and 2 nights of isolation, i found the bug. it in "import" statement. Im wondering what the difference of this import_old and import_new.

    below are the actuall script used.

    # IMPORT_OLD start here

    import e32, appuifw
    import messaging
    import e32db
    import contacts
    import location
    import key_codes

    from dialog import Wait, Progress #FOR WAIT DIALOG BOX
    import sysinfo
    import binascii
    import os
    import time
    from sys import exit
    from inbox import *
    import inbox
    # IMPORT_OLD END HERE

    # IMPORT_NEW start here
    import e32
    from e32 import *

    import appuifw
    from appuifw import *

    import e32db
    from e32 import *

    import contacts
    import location

    import key_codes
    from key_codes import *

    from dialog import Wait, Progress #FOR WAIT DIALOG BOX

    import sysinfo
    import binascii

    import time
    from sys import exit
    import os
    from os.path import *

    from inbox import *
    import inbox
    import messaging
    # IMPORT_NEW end here.

    The IMPORT_NEW works!
