my E50 finally arrived! for my 1st 3rd ed PY

after wake up, my E50 is on my side. thanks to my mother he both me nest for my snake (python).

I am now moving my PY for 3rd edition program.

    1. I already created my 1st 3rd edition SIS...thank to jethro.fn.
    2. I install PythonScriptShell_1_4_1_3rdEd.sis and PythonForS60_1_4_1_3rdEd.SIS to my E50.

    everythign is flawless...

    except:
    1. after i transfer my PY to my E50 (via Bluetooth), i open it in inbox. It open from NOTEPAD. Why is it it does not treated as PYTHON SCRIPT like what my 6600 did?

    2. when install my 1st 3rd edition SIS it prompted me "COMPONENT 'python for s60' missing continue anyway?" ...What hapen to this?

    Please help me...

Congratulations ! Welcome to the marvellous world of 3rd

    1. If you send by bluetooth in the inbox you can't directly run it from there !
In 2nd of sure but in the 3rd it's not yet possible
But you can install your application python(sis or sisx file) from inbox but not python script (*.py).

    2. Ignore it ! I don't know why but it works !

You can also register to symbiansigned and get a devcert for the IMEI of your new E50 for signing with more caps (13) than selfsigned !
With devcert for ONE IMEI you can access to keypress , keycapture , location.gsm_location() and many more !

Happy pythoning with your all new E50 !
Don't forget to feed your python daily

    Cyke64
    pys60 1.4.5 and 2.0.0, pygame, PyS60 CE on E90 and 5800 !

Find my pys60 extension modules on cyke64.googlepages.com

    Hello rsf

Well i am a PURE 2nd Edition User..Ha ha ..But i think this will work for you.
Try installing the scripts from the explorer(File Explorer) ..Also you can try pasting the python scripts that is the .py files in the specified folders where the scripts are to be store...In 2nd edition Phones its
    E://system//apps//Python//my
But i have heard that you wont get the system folder in 3rd edition devices .So justto look for the python folder..May be it will be in E:\
I think the other 3rd edition users can tell you on this........(Cyke64)

Standard folder to keep the scripts on a 3rd edition phone is either "C:\Python" or "E:\Python".

Btw. I'm a 2nd edition user too but I know this for sure.
