Exclamation problmes with signsis in s60 3rd FP1 & Carbide

When building in Carbide 1.2.2.5 I have an issue with S60 3rd FP1 SDK where signsis fails for no obvious reason.

    Code:
    ***Invoking signsis.exe....
    D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\epoc32\tools\signsis.exe -v -s D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\Sensor\SensorServerExample\sis\SensorTest_carbide.sis D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\Sensor\SensorServerExample\sis\SensorTest_carbide.sisx "D:\dev_keys\DevCertNGI\rd.crt" "D:\dev_keys\DevCertNGI\rd.key"

If i copy signsis from the older S60 3rd edition SDK it builds
    Code:
    ***Invoking signsis.exe....
    D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\epoc32\tools\signsis.exe -v -s D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\Sensor\SensorServerExample\sis\SensorTest_carbide.sis D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\Sensor\SensorServerExample\sis\SensorTest_carbide.sisx "D:\dev_keys\DevCertNGI\rd.crt" "D:\dev_keys\DevCertNGI\rd.key"

If i sign from the command line it works

    Code:
    D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\Sensor\SensorServerExample\sis> D:\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1_2\epoc32\tools\signsis_4.0.0.3.exe -s SensorTes

    Is this a known issue?

Yes, but not a very helpful one. It works for me ;-)

I just compiled a project with 3.1, added a .pkg file and the cert and key to the build configuration and got the signed sisx file. There is even a space in the path to the cert and key files.

For this I used the rd edition fp1 SDK without any patches or additional packages and Carbide 1.2.2.

Re: problmes with signsis in s60 3rd FP1 & Carbide

    Hi,

I have similar problem in Carbide, but I switched back to Code warrior, so I didn't find a solution, but I noticed a discussion about similar problem on www.symbian.com forum - so might be this will help you, as there is couple of things you can check:

    http://developer.symbian.com/forum/t...013&tstart=120

Anyway I think it would help you if you will try ti sign your file from command line - there might be little more error output than is displayed by Carbide.
