    Where to start?

I am a newbe to S60 SDK, but a programmer for MANY years. I have been downloading and installing SDK's (S60 FP1 and FP2 ) and Eclipse and none seem to go according to plan. I am still unable to find and run one of the examples on the emulator.

What I am trying to do is port a widget that's running on a Samsung Hue SCH-R500 under the WHERE™ interface. (Details here: http://wheremyfriends.net )
The widget was written in asp/vbscript and uses "jin" code for the phones.

Whats the quickest way to setup an SDK environemt/emulator and run a Widget, along with the source code for me to compare?
Direct download links would be most appreciated.

    Welcome to the Forum!

I dont have much experience doing it, but as far as my knowledge goes, you just would need the installation of S60 3rd FP2. I hope this document helps you getting started

    Re: Where to start?

I want to use Java as I haven't used C for over 20 years. I did install S60 3rd FP2 and Eclipse - when I tried to download Carbide.j it said it was no longer supported. I then tried to import helloworldplus into eclipse but it did not show the nokia sdk options.
I also can't find the helloworldplus.jar - it's not in the bin folder.
