Automatically set "Always Allow" Access provilege when deploying Midlet

    Hello,

I'm currently developing a MIDlet that reads and writes files into a mini SD memory card located in my Nokia 6131 phone.
I've got a question related to the application data access. Here is the current situation:

The Midlet is siged and trusted. However, each time I deploy the Midlet, I need to specify under "Application Access", then "Data access", "Communication",.. to "Always Allow" each of the access features.

Is there a way to automatically allow all those access privileges within the .Jad file at the deployment? (to avoid manually setting those fields on the phone at every deployment).

Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cheers
    Najib

    Hi

I may be mistaken, but unfortunately I do not think it is possible.

Just to confirm. Not possible on Nokia devices. And also MIDP spec contains no suggestions on how and if to do this, so likely not possible on any phones

    Hi

Just to add to this, yesterday I loaded an app (unsigned) onto a Nokia N95. When you go into App Manager, you don't even get the suite settings option so you don't have access to any of the settings even those like connectivity which I am able to set to always allowed on a E61, N70, 6600, 6680 just to mention a few

    Is This Normal?

    Hello stevejanko,

are you referring a 'Not Installed' app? If it's an 'Installed' app, then there should be suite settings.

Check the following thread (Post by Hartti, dated 2007-05-01, 02:00):

    Steve,
click the middle button in the app manager. the suite parameters don't appear in the 'Options' menu, only in the menu you access via the central button.
