    Non ui-design controls

The Carbide C++ UI Designer allows automatic creation of several UI controls. However, it seems there are some other controls, which are not supported. For example, CAknBitmapAnimation.

    My questions are:

    1. Do these control must be manually added, or am I missing something in the UI Designer?
    2. If they should be manually added - where should they be places, to avoid the UI designer overwrite them?

    Re: Non ui-design controls

There could be for example even simple placeholders... custom controls are essential to virtually any practical piece of software.
