(announce) PSSC: Phone Screen Sequential Capture

Yes, PSSC is mainly a celebrated Physics Course, but now also a little python script :-)

The application (my third Python S60 working project; the first is in restyling state and the second is unfinished) shows the phone screen on a small window of your PC, using bluetooth connections.

Anyway, this the URL http://mulinux.sunsite.dk/python/pssc.html and this is a little video http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=s_o_X7U5EDE showing the scenario.

    Good capturing, with pssc!

    Hello Michele,

I tried to run the pssc.py on my PC and mac
    both crashed with this warning:
'local variable 'sock' referenced before assignment'
    do I miss something here?

    hello ululazmi,
I tested extensively only using PC/linux and nokia phones.
I'm currently porting for WinXP, and it basically works.
(the only part that I have to check is the module stream.py)
The Windows user must install pyBluez for Win32 and also wxPython.

I do not know anything about MAC. What's the python platform of MAC?
In other word, what python report to this command:

    import sys
    sys.platform

I ask that because usually I insert different code for different platform, if required. In this case, I must know how to use the bluetooth stack of MAC. Help required, for that.

Anyway, when testing finished, I will announce here and if You can help me with MAC, I will greatly appreciated.

I don't know about USB socket programming.
Anyway, everything about communications, in pssc-vnc60-pyfs, is encapsuled in the single file stream.py.

So, with some little suggestion from the group, I can ad the feature.

    Ok, MS-Windows porting is ok.
I released new archives both for my PSSC and PYFS packages.
Instructions for Windows user are here.

As You will notice, pyBluez for win32 and wxPython for win32 are required.

I'm very interested to have some feedback from Windows users.
