    Use XML file for your track list and parse it on ur aplication.

    Code:
    - <menu_item>
    - <!-- Genre List with video urls

      -->
    - <menu>
    - <menu_item id="1">
      <video_genre_name>gen1</video_genre_name>
      <video_id>14</video_id>
      <video_artist>Artist3</video_artist>
      <video_title>sample_100kbit</video_title>
      <video_url>rtsp://demoprod2.xyz.com/sample_100kbit.mp4</video_url>
      <video_duration>5:00</video_duration>
      </menu_item>
    - <menu_item id="3">
      <video_id>143</video_id>
      <video_artist>Artist2</video_artist>
      <video_genre_name>gen2</video_genre_name>
      <video_title>sample_100kbit</video_title>

    Re: Building a track list in j2me for mp3 player

    Hi,
    As you can access the phone memory and memory card,then go to each folder and store the path of each song into a vector.After doing this,take the song name along using some substring method and then display them into the canvas or form whichever is applicable.This can give you the tracklist.Then when you select an item or song from the tracklist,then get the path from the vector and then create a player and play the sound accordingly.
    Thanks
    Soku
