    Invalid application

I have made a simple Hello World application for my Nokia 6234. I have used Eclipse, EclipseME, and the Nokia SDK.

The application works in the emulator, but when I try to execute it in the phone I get the following message: "Invalid application. Delete it?" (Maybe it's not the exact message as I have tranlated it from spanish)

    What am I doing wrong?

    Re: Invalid application

you are installing the aplication through the IR or bluetooth. Please install the .jar and access that file.

otherwise please mention it clearly , as you accessed jad file or jar file for running the hello world application.

    Thanks and regards

    Re: Invalid application

I installed the application via Bluetooth and Nokia Application installer 3.0

Eclipse generates two files: NokiaApp.jad and NokiaApp.jar. But the Nokia Application installer only asks for a jar file.

I have tried to put the class in the default package and also installed the application in the memory card in case it is a problem of space but it fails too.

I have tried too pasting the jar and jad files in the memory card without the application installer, but I get the same message.

Please make sure that the JAD & Manifest entries are correct and they match each other.

    Re: Invalid application

    This is "MANIFEST.MF":

    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    MIDlet-Vendor: Midlet Suite Vendor
    MIDlet-Version: 1.0.0
    MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.1
    MIDlet-Name: NokiaApp Midlet Suite
    MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.1

    This is "NokiaApp.jad":

    MIDlet-Jar-Size: 1396
    MIDlet-Jar-URL: NokiaApp.jar
    MIDlet-Name: NokiaApp Midlet Suite
    MIDlet-Vendor: Midlet Suite Vendor
    MIDlet-Version: 1.0.0
    MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.1
    MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.1

I think it's ok. The properties that are in both files match.

    Thanks for your suggestions

    Re: Invalid application

Nokia 6234 supports MIDP 2.0, you have to modify MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0 not 2.1

    Re: Invalid application

I'll try again some time in the near future. I need to rest. I didn't expect it was so complicated.

Thanks for your time and help
