should I apply for API partnering request for getting Incoming VoIP Call on E61

    hi,

should i apply for API partnering request for getting Incoming VoIP Call notification on E61?
(because my application is not getting Incoming VoIP Call request. only built-in VoIP Client is getting the notification.)

    OR

are there any public APIs available for the same?

    regards,
    vasu

you could also try other technical service provided by Forum nokia: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/tech...ces/index.html

    Like technical support or consultancy.

There is the free partnering API plugin that is probably a better solution for you. It can be downloaded after simple click-through licensing terms acceptance go to:

    Hi Ron,

    Thanks for your response.

I had posted my queries in the link below... (which was bit long and hence unanswered... )
    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=123788

I have tried the following for getting Incoming VoIP Call Notification.

I have been using the Extensions Plug-in S60_3rd_SDK_MR_API_Plug-In_Pack_v5.zip.
Also, I have been looking into the "Aiw*" and "PhoneClient*" set of APIs and the examples.

I have gone through the following link
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ia_VoIP_Client
and used the example given over there.
The following functionalities are achieved with Aiw* and PhoneClient* set of APIs. (using the Example)
    1. Dialing a Call (VoIP and GSM)
    2. Hanging Up a Call (VoIP and GSM)
    3. Answering an Incoming Call (only GSM call)
(It was NOT possible to answer an Incoming VoIP Call.)

Using PhoneClient* set of APIs, only Voice Calls could be answered. Documentation mentions that. (NOT VoIP Calls)
Using Aiw* set of APIs is not looking trivial as there is not much documentation to help. (as it is a Plug-in)
But, going through the available documentation and header files, I could not find anything relevant for answering Incoming VoIP Call.

This is what i have tried...
    Am I missing Anything Important??

Finally, we have pretty much decided on getting Technical support case and if required, would also apply for API Partnerning request.
(hope to get all my pending doubts/queries answered then... )

    Regards,
    Vasu

Re: should I apply for API partnering request for getting Incoming VoIP Call on E61

    Hi
I need to write an application which is capable of detecting VoIP call (incoming/outgoing) and execute specific commands depending on the state (Ringing/dialing/connecting etc).

I see that you where planing for API Partnerning request.. What advantage of doing so ? will I get access to any API (VOIP) which would help me
