    Open a page from Flash Lite 2.0

    Hi,

    In a Nokia N95 when i open a XHTML page with a link to a Flash Lite 2.0 app the file is downloaded and open it giving the controls to flash. Inside the aplication there are several buttons with links for another XHTML pages and when I press it loads the new page in the background showing the Flash Lite app in the foreground wich is in my opinion a bug. The Browser should be able to close the Flash app, or at least put in the background, and show the new page to the user.

    In a N80 I use te same scenario and it open the new requested web page and close the Flash App.

    If there is anyone from Nokia to comment if this is a bug from the browser or pluggin? It happens with other S60 3rd FP1 phones?

    Thanks Fernando

    Are you using the pre-installed version of FlashLite, or you've got 2.1 already?

    And when testing the page with N80, what version of FlashLite you used?

    Re: Open a page from Flash Lite 2.0

    Hi alb3530,

    First of all is impossible to create the scenario using Flash Lite 2.1 because the browser can´t recognize this player (Developer edition it´s not reconized by the OS as the default player). In the N80 always opens the FL 1.1 player and in the N95 2.0.

    I´m trying to get an anwser from the Nokia team if it can´t use the Flash Lite command getURL inside the Web Browser environment (Not embebed in XHTML) using the N95 phone, when it was possible in the N80.

    I made a test scenario so you can tested. Open the following link in the web browser:
    http://files.cadsh.com/nokia/
    Inside there is 2 versions (1.1, 2.0). There's also a link to the source code (.fla).

    Please someone from Nokia awnser this thread.

    Best regards
    Fernando

    Another solution could be updating your phone's firmware. (in case it's not up-to-date)

    there's a small probability it could be fixed in the latest firmware

    Are those links defined in Flash Lite with getURL? Would you try calling the browser from Flash Lite with link parameter instead of that?

    Hi Kuneri,

    When you say "link paramenter", you mean to define the target window like getURL("http:\\www.google.com", "_blank"). I tried and still open the page in the background.

    Re: Open a page from Flash Lite 2.0

    Hi Fernando,

    I actually meant maybe you could try this;

    fscommand("Launch", "browser.exe,http://www.google.com");

    Sounds like Flash Lite file works standalone after downloading. This could directly call browser and navigate to the link. And if browser is already open, it may have the desired effect for you.

    cheers,

    Ugur.-
