    Exception with ISO14443Connection Connector.open and message "null"

    Hi,

    I've got a problem with connecting to my secure element in my Nokia 6131 mobile phone.
    I use (ISO14443Connection) Connector.open(connectionString); to connect to the secure element. The connectionString is "nfc:sc;type=iso4a;mode=internal". Thus, the connectionString should be okay.
    But with executing the statement above, an exception is thrown. The text of e.getMessage() is "null". This confuses me a little bit, because I can't deal with this information.

    Has anyone had the same problem yet?
    What could be the reason for this strange exception?

    Another interesting fact is that this exception occurs not always, but most of the times I execute my application. Sometimes the program works fine.

    Thanks,

    Sincerly Michael

    Re: Exception with ISO14443Connection Connector.open and message "null"

    Are you trying to connect to internal JavaCard area or to internal Mifare area?
    In the first case you have to write:

    ISO14443Connection conn1 = (ISO14443Connection) Connector.open(System.getProperty("internal.se.url"));
    in the other case:

    MFStandardConnection conn2 =
    (MFStandardConnection) Connector.open(System.getProperty("internal.mf.url"));
    For more details see SDK reference guides and wiki pages.
    Hope it helps

    It's a connection to the internal JavaCard and I did it like you said. The problem appears only if I have a NFC P2P Connection between two Nokia 6131 mobile phones and afterwards trying to switch into the internal mode.

    I found a workaround, which is a little bit awkward, but works:
    After closing the NFC P2P connection I stop the thread for one second with Thread.sleep(1000), then I connect to the internal JC. This works.

    Does anybody know why it doesn't work, if I connect immediately after NFC connection?

    Thanks,
    Michael
