    PAMP Your Phone

The Personal AMP - Apache, MySQL and PHP - stack for the S60 smartphone is now available.

    Download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pamp
    Documentation: http://wiki.opensource.nokia.com/projects/PAMP

    NOTE
    • PAMP has quite a few rough edges, installation and otherwise. Do not try it out, if you expect a polished product.
    • Only the binaries are available now, the source will follow shortly.

Have fun, and please report of problems you encounter.

    Yes, Drupal runs.

But it's a little trickier to set up as Drupal wants to send mail to you at installation time. The support for that is there, so it's just a question of editing php.ini. Instructions will appear shortly.

    Re: PAMP Your Phone

    Hi Guys,

OK after a few days of playing about with this i've hit a problem

The apache server seems only able to handle GET requests (not sure if this is an httpd.conf issue or not)

This means that POST requests and DAV requests fail with
    "Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand." on the client and

"request failed: error reading the headers" on the server error.log

Have you experienced this, or am I doing something stupid ?

    Again, great work

    Re: PAMP Your Phone

    I have a suggestion.

the main package seems a bit bigger than usual, 6MB.

why not split it up into mutiple sis files (Apache.sis + MySQL.sis, php_mod.sis, python_mod.sis, etc), and let the developers embed required sis packgaes with thier apps based on PAMP.

    best,

Well, when Raccoon was initially released it consisted of a bunch of different sis-files and then people complained that there were too many of them

But yes, those embedded sis-files will be made available separately so that you can then choose to install MySQL, Apache, PHP and the PAMP UI individually or via the PAMP sis that contains them all.

You are most likely not doing anything stupid.

Is that behaviour consistent - is it always like that or just occasionally?
What device do you have? Which Open-C version did you install; the first release, or the second? Do you access over WLAN or using the Raccoon or MWS gateway? If WLAN, do you use an ad-hoc connection or infrastructure? When POSTing, does it make a difference if you use different browsers?

    Thanks Johan,

Yes sometimes its easy to have everything in one pack, but experts always like deep customizations

Start App. Mgr -> [Options] -> [Settings] and check that Software installation is All (and not Signed only).
