    Can unlock none-developer version Nokia6131 NFC phone with Unlock service?

    I have a doubt that Nokia Unlock Service MIDlet can not be used to none-developer version Nokia 6131 NFC phone, isn't it right?

    Last week I met a problem of "no server connection" while using unlock service,
    later, I solved this problem by downloading a new "internet" settings from nokia site.
    But finally a new problem came out with below
    message:
    -----------------------------------------------
    "Unlock process imcompleted!source:
    Unlock process has been executed on this phone."
    ------------------------------------------------

    I bought Nokia6131 NFC phone is not developer
    version, so I doubt that the unlock serice maybe
    not for this version.But in Nokia's related document not mensions that.

    Can give me some advice? is it no way but rebuy a
    Nokia 6131 NFC phone with developer version if I want write some data into secure element?

    Thanx a lot.

    I have found the same problem when executing the Unlock Midlet
    in my Nokia 6131NFC Software Development version. So I am afraid there has to be another thing.

    This means that phone is already unlocked, no need to do it again. So now you can get access to Secure Element of Nokia 6131 NFC.

    Thanks!
    To determine if really have unlocked the secure element, I
    write test code like this:
    ---------------------------------------
    // Note: public class MifareRW extends MIDlet

    private byte[] handsetdatakey = {
    (byte)0xFF,
    (byte)0xFF,
    (byte)0xFF,
    (byte)0xFF,
    (byte)0xFF,
    (byte)0xFF
    };
    MFStandardConnection mfstdConn = null;
    try{
    String uri= System.getProperty("internal.mf.url");
    if(uri==null)
    throw new NullPointerException();
    mfstdConn=(MFStandardConnection) Connector.open
    (uri,Connector.READ_WRITE);
    MFSector mfsector = mfstdConn.getSector(1);
    MFBlock mfblock = mfsector.getBlock(1);
    KeyA key= new KeyA(handsetdatakey);
    byte [] readdata = new byte[16];
    int readint = mfblock.read(key,readdata,0,0,16);
    }
    catch(Exception e){
    {}
    }
    finally{
    if(mfstdConn!=null)
    try{
    mfstdConn.close();
    }
    catch(Exception e)
    {}
    }
    But as a result,"com.nokia.nfc.nxp.mfstd.MFStardardException:Read failed" Exception is thrown.How can I make sure that the secure element has been unlocked?

    Re: Can unlock none-developer version Nokia6131 NFC phone with Unlock service?

    hi chb,

    go thru the unlock midlet readme

    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/images/0...et_Read_Me.pdf

    after unlocking, the secure-element keyset 42 is set to 4041....4F (for MAC,ENC and DEK keys). so inorder to check whether your secure-element is unlocked properly, try to authenticate your midlet (or a host program running in pc along with a reader like pegoda) with the above specified keys. you should get a respose as 90 00. if you get this response code, you can assure that ur secure-element is unlocked successfully.

    for testing ur phone with external reader,go thru the following link.

    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp...hreadID=702955

    this program contains the classes and methods from JCOP offcard api, which you can refer and use for authentication.

    while authentication process, "BE CAREFUL". 10 continuous unsuccessful authentications will lock ur phone's secure-element permanenty(ie, TERMINATED state). (also an INITUPDATE without successful EXTERNAL-AUTHENTICATE will count to failure count)

    hope this helps
    Sunil

    hi Sunil,
    Thanks your reply!
    Unfortunately using external R/W trying to access the secure element with default key of 4041424344...4f,come back an authentication error such as "The verification of the card cryptogram failed"
    .
    So I am afraid the SE is not unlocked successfully.

    Thanx a lot.

    Re: Can unlock none-developer version Nokia6131 NFC phone with Unlock service?

    Hello,

    The service we used for unlock the secure element is Nokia NFC Unlock Service MIDlet but, it never ends because appear the following messages:

    "The process of unlocking the secure element was not completed". "Source HTTP Post Failed".

    We think that is the connection to the 3G (or GPRS) and we try this:

    Preferred access point: internet.comcel.com.co
    "internet" settings from Comcel MMS: Single-shot WEB Comcel 3GSM.

    Also we try that with Movistar that is annother 3G Colombia provider.

    Could someone please help me with this troubles?
