Well, seems to work just fine here.

    • Nokia N95, firmware V 12.0.013
    • PythonForS60_1_4_2_3rdEd.SIS
    • PythonScriptShell_1_4_2_3rdEd_unsigned_freedevcert.SIS, signed with devcert
    • ensymble_python2.4-0.26.py
    • Python 2.4.4 on a Debian Linux PC

    Package was generated with:

    Code:
    ensymble.py py2sis snake.py

Can you put the SIS file on some web page so I can take a look at it?

PyS60, which is based on Python 2.2, does not understand the BOM and fails to load the Python file. Python 2.2 is hard-coded to use the ISO-8859-1 character set, so this is what you should use when saving. If you need to represent characters outside of this character set in your programs, encode the characters using Python's Unicode facilities.
