    series 40 Flash lite 2 and video.seek()

    has anyone managed to get series 40 Flash Lite 2.0 to change position in a 3GP video with the seek() method?

    Simple example:

    place a bundled video on the stage.
    video.play() to play the video.

    from a key press call video.seek(5) to restart playback at the 5 second position.

    I am testing on 5300, and it seems that the series 40 Flash Lite 2.0 ignores this function. Same code and example works as expected on a S60 Flash Lite 2.0 phone.

    Ciao,

    the seek() function is not an officially supported API.
    So I got the same behavior, S60 moves to the seconds that you define and in S40 is ignored.

    It also seems that series 40 ignores the onStatus event.

    Code:
    /* execute ActionScript when video player finishes playing 3GP */
    video_object.onStatus = function(video_status:Object){
        if(video_status.level > 0){ // video is complete
           trace("complete");
        } else { // there is an error
           trace(video_status.code);
        }
    }
