    Carbide.vs 3.0.1 fall down on RCMake.exe

    Hi all,

I tested new version of Carbide.vs. But i could not compile my project, because Carbide.vs 3.0.1 fall down on RcMake.exe call.

Our projects are under version control and therefor some files have read-only attribute set.

Compilation of our project fall down on calling RcMake.exe. This process try to open Bld.inf, which have read-only attribute set(isn't checked-out). And here is log from output window:

1>Unhandled Exception: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\cpp\XX\XXXRelS603rd\XXX\yyy\group\Bld.inf' is denied.

Sorry to hear that we still did not get it right for you. Looked at your previous post and could not find what what Source control system you are using?

    Hi,

you do good job with fixing bugs. We can compile whole projects now.
We are using ClearCase as version control. But I think, that this error is related to read-only attribute. If I remove read-only attribute we can compile project.

    Thanks,
    Patrik

OK, so if you can select not to have the read-only switch set, then I think we can consider this issue solved for the time being?

There is no reason for RCMake.exe to ask for write permission to bld.inf, since we only read it. I've fixed this bug in our development environment, the fix will be part of the next release.

Until then, you can just remove the read-only attribute as you have already done.
