    Well you could get the iap id and search in the comm database.. You could even do this with RConnection ( EnumerateConnections / GetConnectionInfo ) and then scanning the CommDb (field IAP_BEARER_TYPE IIRC)

    It may not useful for GPRS, but for WLAN connection there is a short cut to find
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/WLAN_Info_API

    But my problem is , is there any direct way to find whether we have connected to specified SSID.

    We can do by iterating throught CommDb and WLAN_SERVICE tables, but I am trying for a shortcut.

    Hi,

    You can use the RConnectionMonitor class available as part of S60.

    Get number of active connections:

    Code:
    RConnectionMonitor monitor;

    // open RConnectionMonitor object
    monitor.ConnectL();

    // get number of active connections
    TUint          count;
    TRequestStatus status;

    monitor.GetConnectionCount( count, status );
    User::WaitForRequest( status );
    if ( status.Int() != KErrNone )
        {
        // error
        }

    // close RConnectionMonitor object when it is not needed any more
    monitor.Close();
