    Re: Photo Capture

    We usually use the related API-s (CCamera), and the Search feature of the Forum and/or the Wiki, however the word photo would have also worked. Visiting www.forum.nokia.com and selecting Documentation/Symbian C++ on the left, then Multimedia on the top might be also a beneficial act.

    Re: Photo Capture

    Hi ,
    Iam trying to write an application to capture a Photo, I am using CCaeEngine API, I am getting the following error.

    Undefined symbol: 'class CCaeEngine * CCaeEngine::NewL(void) (?NewL@CCaeEngine@@SAPAV1@XZ)'[] Camera Unknown 1203052122796 5347

    I have included corresponding library and header file, please help me any one to solve this problem.

    void CCamEngine::ConstructL()
    {
    iCaeEngine=CCaeEngine::NewL();
    // iCaeEngine=new CCaeEngine;
    iCaeEngine->SetCamAppEngineObserver(*this);
    // iCaeEngine->SetCaeStillBurstObserver(*this);
    iFs.Connect();
    iSaveBmp=new (ELeave) CFbsBitmap;
    TFileName path = PathInfo::PhoneMemoryRootPath(); //Default
    path.Append( PathInfo::ImagesPath() );
    iImagePath = HBufC::NewL( path.Length() );
    iImagePath->Des().Copy( path );
    InitCameraL();
    iCaeEngine->SetSnapImageCreation(ETrue);
    iCaeEngine->CaptureStill();
    // InitializeVideoRecordingL();
    }

    Thanks and Ragards

    Re: Photo Capture

    Undefined symbol: 'class ....' error should be library linking issue, confirm you have included the correct library.

    Thumbs up Re: Photo Capture

    Hi Sunita,
    Once you check the low of your application completely.
    It should come something in your camera application code like this:

    CameraUI->CCorController->CameraEngine
    Now CameraEngine should interact with APIs of ECAM(which is part of middleware and this is OEM specific).

    Once you check all the interfaces in your application and then procceed further.

    API-s from the plug-in packs are not available for the emulator target in case of S60 3rd MR/FP1.
