after runining my application and putting it background i would like to make it back to the topscreen after holding for example key "1" for 3 seconds
i know that there are such application which can make mine to topscren but i m wondering if there is an easy way to do it in python

I am pretty sure it's not possible with current PyS60 standard API. I guess you need a native extension for that.

Check out the 'appswitch' extension on: http://wiki.opensource.nokia.com/pro...S60_extensions

You can use the appswitch to make your application come to foreground.
For keypress detection you can use keycapture module.
Search for it in the PyS60 documentation ...But it at present can only detect a single keystroke.
