Exclamation Wierd problem: App. shutdown during processing only on device

    Hi,

I face a strange problem that the app. can be run on emulator without problem, but when I use this on device(N73), the app. immediately turn off without any signal.

Firstly, I use GET to receive the image from website, and then I keep it into image file.

Secondly, I open this image file. I try running app. line by line on emulator and found no problem.

However, two function seems to work simultaneously. While app. is trying to get image, the image opening function works.

On the device, app. just connect the gprs, and then app. turn off immediately!

I would like to know how to make a queue to letthe image openning function start working after getting image function finished.

However, if my assumption is wrong, please recommend the solution to make the app. is available on mobile phone.

    Thank you for your help,
    Kittinut K.

    Hi,

First off your trying to do 2 things 1.Getting the image for a website 2. Writing the arrived chunks of data to the file.

I guess you are not checking the data arrived and trying to write to a file or the connection may be lost during this process.

First try downloading the file first to the device from the remote site and then use the second method of yours.

or you might also can write to a file after arrival of the image data.

Thank you for your prompt reply

I have the function to check whether the image come to the device and I also have the dummy image that is the same as what I will loaded.

Moreover, I put 2 images and I create function to select one of them to prevent the duplicate request between writing to file and opening the image.

    But, it is still occur.

I am really want to wait until the GET function finish, and then Image opening function will work.

Please give some recommendation to do this.

    Thank you,

    Kittinut K.

    Hi,

you can download the image file from the website and then pass the downloded file to the Embedded store and it will invoke the appropriate image launcher for you, depending on the mime type supplied to it.

When you say your app turns off, it is probably panicing. Find out how to enable panic logging and see what the panic is, that will give you a clue as to the problem. Do that as a first step, anything else at this stage is mere speculation and thus pointless to attempt to rectify.
