    Widsets on Symbian 9.3 and 9.5

    Hi,
    I have't 9.3 device to check is Widsets midled installed there by default? If no, will be on Symbian 9.5?
    Also, is any plans to implement Widsets runtime with Symbian C++?

    Are you talking about widgets? Widgets will be supported in S60 3.2 devices. It's S60 spesific, not Symbian so you can't expect every Symbian device support widgets.

    Widsets midlet - the Widsets runtime. Yes, the Widsets client is likely to be on all Java enabled devices now and in the future. For future development plans however you should wait for an "Ask the Expert" opportunity but I would not hold my breath for a Symbian version of the client.

    Thank you ltomuta. Anybody check existing 3rd ed FP2 devices? Is widsets where by default?

    None of the announced S60 3rd Ed. FP2 devices are shipping yet.

    I'm not sure if all regional or operator versions (variants) would have the Widsets application preinstalled, or just available for user downloading and installation (using the Download! application, when the network operator hasn't required it to be removed).
