    MIME type overlaps

    Hi,
I want to download wallpaper from my server. I have to define the MIME type image/vnd.nok-wallpaper for the files with .jpg extension in the server. But MIME type image/jpeg is already defined for .jpg images. Can I use both of the definitions simultaneously or will it be a problem for the pages on the server including jpg files?
    Thanks in advance
    Selma

    RE: MIME type overlaps

You could isolate the area you'll be doing this for and use a .htaccess file, or alter your server's configuration..

OR, you could use something like perl or php to send the appropriate MIME type, then simply open the file from the local filesystem, and printf it straight to stdout. (this is what I'm doing)

    RE: MIME type overlaps

    Hi,
i have a .htacces in the dir the logos in. In this file i've added following line:

    --
    AddType image/vnd.nok-oplogo-color .copl
    --

Now reame your logos to XYZ.copl

So your server knows to sent files which ends with .copl in the mime for color Oplogos.
