    Exclamation " EMsvGeneralError "to SMS receiver on Device (But not on Emulator)

    Hi,

    I am applying the SMS receiver on my app. It works well on Emulator. Again, my app can not work on device!

    I use N73(S60 3rd MR with Carbide 1.2) to receive message and respond by getting some url. It show the "EMsvGeneralError" event during process and it stops at this following line.

    Code:
    CMsvEntry* entry = iSession->GetEntryL(aEntId);
    Firstly, I checked the MsvSession(iSession), but I think it is ok because the event " EMsvServerReady " occured.

    I have tried many ways, but they do not work. Please help me to find the solution.

    Thank you,
    Kittinut K.

    Lightbulb Re: " EMsvGeneralError "to SMS receiver on Device (But not on Emulator)

    Hi all,

    I have checked and found symbianyucca 's answer about this problem.

    This problem is caused by the capability setting in mmp file. Some capability was not inserted, thus the MsvServer of device can not respond to message client like emulator for the same app.

    However, if you add more than base capability, you may face the problem of "Required application access not granted". For more info, please see, symbiansigned.

    Best regards,
    Kittinut K.
