Sign midlet to run ONLY on my 3110c

    Hi!
I wrote a simple midlet that uses FileConnection API and I'd love to run it without nokia jvm bugging me all the time.
Infact, every time midlet tries to access the file system an "allow midlet to access filesystem" prompt is displayed: this is VERY annoying!
(only midlet permission settings allowed are: "ALWAYS ASK" and "NO")

I have read somewhere that a solution to this problem is getting my midlet signed by Verisign, but I suppose that this procedure is neither free nor cheap.

All I need is running MY midlet on MY Nokia 3110c (I will never ever sell it or give it to anybody), so I suppose that there MUST be some way to have my midlet SIGNED by my own mobile.

I mean: running MY midlet on MY mobile with FULL permission granted should be nobody else's business, isn't it?

    Thanks.

    Hello mbil74,

..there MUST be some way to have my midlet SIGNED by my own mobile.
As you've defined, Verisign is one option. Other options include Thawte and Java Verified process. In addition, for operator-branded devices, some operators have defined their own security domains and API access rights.

More on signing options and API access rights:
