Access Point Pop-up with Java midlet on S60 3.1

What API or mechanism can be used with S60 3.1 device like N95 so that there is no popup of APN selection, when a Java midlet tries to establish a network connection.
How can we hard code the value of Access point in midlet so that end user is not prompted to select access point at launch of the Java application?

    or

Is there an option to define the access point at the image creation step for Java midlets so that the pop-up can be avoided?

On 3rd Edition FP1 devices you could define the access point in Application Manager
Select the MIDlet and press the middle soft key, select Open->Access Point

You cannot define this in the MIDlet/JAR itself
