    FlashLite navigation problems!

    Hi,

I'm building some slightly complex menus with many focusable elements. The problem is that Flash doesn't handle focus in the proper way, "jumping" elements and other odd things. I searched for a simple custom way to implement focus management, but haven't found any clear example.

I tried with Key listeners, but I was unable to prevent Flash to move focus with its default behaviour (so as a result I had my focus management + Flash default focus management handling keypress events together... a mess )

    Maybe someone has some hints?

    Thanks!!

    Re: FlashLite navigation problems!

Well, I have worked on custom menu + focus system, and I'm already planning to share my experience in this area. But it might a bit.

All I can suggest you to take a look at www.orison.biz/demo/tango/

Open this in your FL2.x enabled mobile browser. And play with the navigation. It looks a bit complex, but the way I implemented, it was very simple to work with. Atleast for me

You can try and decompile the swf if you like (just to take a look). I will try to post somthing about it soon.

    Hi chall3ng3r,

would it be possible to have some hints on how to implement a custom focus management that can override (so, not work side-by-side with) default Flash Lite focus management?

I took a look at your demo, and it's really impressive!

    Thanks a lot,
    Pit
